Howe: Bournemouth stronger after previous year
“We’ve seen him, albeit not in full contact training, but I’m excited for the future, I think we could see him in September, maybe late September”. Throw into the mix that Bourenouth are unbeaten in their last four home encounters against Manchester United and this does have the shape of a competitive and entertaining clash – one which we can profit from by backing both teams to score at a fair-looking even money.
Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe has confirmed winger Junior Stanislas will miss the club’s Premier League opener against Manchester United on Sunday.
He said: ‘I am expecting it to be harder (than last season).
“I think sometimes it does take a result like that to stimulate the players, hopefully we won’t have to wait too long for that feeling this season”. Expectation is high at United and they begin with a tricky trip to Dean Court where Bournemouth impressed last term under Eddie Howe, defying injuries to key players to stay in the division. I think the novelty value will have gone from our players’ perspective, that is a challenge for us that they (should) respond to this season in a positive fashion, not a negative fashion.
“The challenge will be tougher and we need to respond”.
“He played a huge part in our success last season, scoring some vital goals, so it’s great to be able to reward him for that”. Liverpool provide an interesting first challenge as we embark on year two of Mission Jurgen Klopp.
“Many more think the same way as us but they are afraid to say it”. I now want to get 15 goals this season and I think I can do that. “That’s why he is on loan at a Premier League club”.
